in the frame of the first step of the  “atelier a domicilio” project (May-July 2009),which was developed in Arnhem, in Holland before and in Pergine Spettacolo Aperto in Italy afterwards, Zappalà explored John Cage’s music – and in the case of Arnhem the music expressly composed by Paula Matthausen, who, with a very personal research, somehow ties up with Cage in the timbral exploration - which has always been for the choreographer an inspiration for a crystalline and pure relationship between space and body. In Holland the choregrapher created the new choreography "corpo cage", commissioned by Stichting Theaterwerkplaats Generale Oost in collaboration with ArtEZ Dansacademie for the project “mixed emotions” , which was premièred on the 28th of May 2009 at the Auditorium ArtEZ in Arnhem . On the original music composed by Paula Matthusen and played live from the “de ereprijs”orchestra, corpo cage toured in The Netherlands in Apledoorn, Ansterdam, Arnhem.
