Contents.Young dancers have the opportunity to improve their dance technique with the support of highly professional teachers and benefit from the direct contact with the company and its choreographer, who since always feels the need to transfer his own language to young dancers through a deep laboratorial and repertoire wor
At the end of each year the dancers will perform choreographies from the company’s repertoire and/or creations by guest choreographers; these can choose autonomously the dancers to involve in the creation. Their decision is in no way appealable.
Classes will take place in Scenario Pubblico (artistic residence of compagnia zappalà danza), a venue specifically designed for dance and performing arts which gives an enormous creative potential to professionals and students alike. Participants to modem course will have the unique opportunity to familiarize with the functional mechanisms of a performing arts venue, to see performances and attend seminars and workshops by guest artists.
Workresearch. Modem students will have access to free rehearsal space in order to work to ideas, stimulus and experiences they received during the year and to develop their personal choreographic skills. Young dancers of workresearch are allowed to work only with dancers of the same course.
Tickets for dance performances. For modem participants, it will be possible to attend the dance performances organized by Scenario Pubblico at a simbolic price of 2 euros.
Scholarship. Starting from the year 2010, a scholarship has been granted in memory of Sergio Zappalà, Roberto Zappalà’s nephew and extraordinary collaborator of Scenario Pubblico. He left us at the age of 22 because of a fatal accident. The scholarship will be granted at the end of the auditions held in several European cities, to the highest-score participant, aged 18 – 22.
