On the 8. October 2011 in Piazza Università in Catania the performance “La Via della Spada” within the opening’s ceremony of the World Fencing Championships, which will be held in Catania from 8 to 16 October 2011. Choreography of the performance by Roberto Zappalà, direction Guglielmo Ferro, with the participation of 15 dancers and of artists such as the actor Vincenzo Pirrotta and the musicians Alfio Antico and Puccio Castrogiovanni.

> Second Prize to MindBox at the Guthman Musical Instrument Competition (USA)

The video-audio interactive installation MindBox has been awarded with the Second Prize at the Guthman Musical Instrument Competition in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), which took place on the 24th and 25th February 2011. MindBox is a project by the German artist Christian Graupner (Humatic) in collaboration with Roberto Zappalà and Norbert Schnell (IRCAM)
